Tomorrow is D-day! I cannot believe Peter is still hanging out in there. I have had contractions off and on for weeks. Tuesday we went to the mall and walked and walked and they came and went. On the couch back in our flat Matt timed them every 10 minutes, then I got up to cook and poof - gone! Actually just had one, but one doesn't even make me think twice anymore. After 4 or 5 then I look at the clock. Going to see the chiropractor today - maybe she can help get things going... or at least relieve my hip pain : ) Everyone on this end is trying to talk him out. Gracie was so cute the other day telling her little brother to come on out so she could hold him and kiss him. She told him she loved him then kissed the belly. Lola lavishes kisses on the baby bump and Daddy gives his daily dose of coercion as well. Peter will not be talked out! Does this mean he will have a strong will like him Momma and little sister Gracie? Oh world, watch out!
On a second note, I got a great box from Mom the other day with my new breast pump inside. I love it, but ding dong, I have to use a power converter or I'll blow the thing up. I was thinking twice about my decision to get it off Amazon for $120, thinking maybe buying it here in HK may have been better to get around the power supply problem... but I checked the price again today while we were at the mall and found that if I had purchased the pump in HK I would have paid double... I think I will look for a compact converter and be happy! If all else fails, at least the thing runs on batteries! And its perfect for travel! (I got the Medela Swing if you are wondering!)
Well, my bag is packed. Peter has a fresh stack of clothes waiting. And we are all ready! When will my baby arrive? Only the Lord knows and it is in His hands. Give me patience Lord as I wait on your gift.
