Gracie amazes me!

Gracie has grown up so much over the past few months. I cannot believe how much she can do - independently! She turned 5 in December, so I guess I shouldn't be so surprised... but she is still my baby, ya know? For starters, the fact that she is already 2/3 the way through her Kindergarten curriculum is blowing me away. She has been writing notes to us and has finally decided to write real words... just like that - and draws us the most creative pictures.

For the past couple weeks she has been getting up earlier than us, go figure, I'm not sleeping so well these days... and anyway, she gets up and makes herself something to drink, sometimes a bowl of cereal and then finds something to do. If Lola gets up, she makes her something to drink too and then they play together. Of course, we know whats going on by then because they aren't usually very quiet. But still, it is nice!

So, now for the real reason I am writing this post. Today, at the playground Gracie successfully made it across the monkey bars - alone! Yes! That just makes me proud. I just love this kid to pieces!
So proud of herself! I can't wait until she big enough to go rock climbing... I have got to get back in shape!
