Good Eats
We found a little piece of heaven in NC tonight in the form of Western restaurants. There is this great place called Star Walk and as you venture down into an alley that at first appears only to house bars, you discover not one, but 3 great places. One called Detox, is owned and operated by an Englishman. It is a little swank and pricey. Another called BROs is an Italian place that serves pizza, cheesecake, and tiramasu (Haven't eaten at these 2 places yet, but we heard about them). We ate at Globe Trotters tonight - the menu made our mouths water. We had chicken wings (not real buffalo sauce :( but it was good), onion rings, beef fajitas (that really needed some extra fixins like sour cream and salsa, but were otherwise good) and a blue cheese burger - to die for! I wondered if we were still in NC??? PTL for good food that I don't have to stand over the stove and cook! We are sittin' fat and happy tonight!

Big Bed
After 2 long months of sharing our bed with Gracie she finally got her own. You may be wondering why she was sleeping with us... well it all started when we went to Hong Kong just after Christmas. Where we were staying had no baby bed and it was impossible to keep her on a palette next to the bed. 3 weeks like that then back to freezing cold NC and we couldn't get her room warm no matter how hard we tried so she slept with us to stay warm. Then we traveled again to Thailand where once again there was no extra bed.... on returning home her baby bed was of no use because she can now easily crawl out it. So... we ordered this cute little bed from IKEA and after waiting a little over a week it finally arrived on a train from Shanghai and was delivered to our house. So now Gracie has a big bed. She sleeps in it half the night at this point. We are working on getting through the night... but hallelujah Gracie is finally able to sleep somewhere else other than with us! PTL!

Our Princess
Gracie loves everything about princesses. She loves to watch Cinderella and Beauty and the Beast and this past Christmas Mimi bought her a Cinderella dress. Since we haven't been home more than 2 freezing weeks since Christmas, Sunday was Gracie's first time to try out her dress. She loved it and decided she should wear it to church. She got the normal stares, but this time people weren't just looking at a little foreigner - they were looking at a little princess. Cinderella has nothing on Princess Gracie.
