She did it! Grace pulled up in her bed today all by herself! For the past 2 weeks she has been pulling up on us and even pulled up on her walker once, but today she finally pulled up in her bed. I think she was even trying to climb out. She’s definitely her momma’s daughter.I am amazed at how quickly Grace has learned new things this month. She turned 7 months old on the 8th, and has perfected sitting alone, crawls wherever she wants to go, and has even started humming along when we sing or play her little piano. It is soooo cute.
I need to childproof the apartment very soon. We have already pushed all the pictures and little things to the center of the entertainment center and coffee table because Gracie is quite mobile in her walker and thinks she needs to touch everything in her reach. I had to pull her away from the shoe rack this afternoon and promptly wash her little digits. That’s the other problem… everything that makes it into Grace’s hand eventually makes it into her mouth.
Lin Lin, her babysitter, told me today that Gracie has gray hairs. I smiled and explained those were the natural highlights God gave her – just like her momma. We also inspected her little toes. Her feet are an exact replica of mine… short toes and all. Other than highlights, toes, and luscious lips… Gracie still favors her daddy.
